Believe it or not, the Law of Attraction is a very real and powerful law, and we all have access to it.
It is possible to speak things into existence when you do it with intention and focus. There is immense power in the spoken word, and it can help to greatly speed up your manifestation process. When you use the right words, you can start to set a clear intention for yourself. You can create massive amounts of positive energy that’s all focused on your goals.
In the post below, I’ll show you how to use the power of the spoken word for positive change in your life! Let’s get started with the techniques you will want to start using.
Know What You Want to Manifest
The first thing you need to do is to know what it is that you want to manifest in your life. The more specific you are the better, as it will start to allow you to see it more easily in your mind’s eye. It will let you more easily set clear intentions and know the words to use when you start speaking those things into existence.
Take the time to think about the things that you want in your life right now, and what you are doing to try to achieve those goals and desires. Working toward those things you want to manifest is helpful, and the magic ingredient is learning how to speak those things into existence. When combined with work and focus, it can make a real difference.
Ask the Universe
Now that you know what it is you want, you have to ask the universe to bring it to you. This is a vital step in the manifestation process and one that you can’t skip.
You don’t get something in this life without asking for it. Think about it. When you were a child and you wanted to have something special to eat, you would have to ask your parents. When you wanted a raise, you asked for it. There’s not too much difference when it comes to asking for bigger things.
However, instead of asking other people, you are asking the universe. You are putting your desires out there into the universe, speaking those desires into existence.
This seems simple enough, but a lot of people never do this. They might keep their desires hidden because they worry about jinxing themselves. Maybe they don’t want to talk about their intentions and what they want because they worry that they will embarrass themselves in front of their friends and family in case those dreams don’t come true.
We often hide our dreams, not only from others and the universe, but even ourselves. When you don’t say them out loud, when you don’t believe they are possible, you will be far less likely to achieve them.
So, make it a point right now to start talking about the things you want, your dreams, your goals, and the things that you want to manifest. Words are more powerful than you may realize.
Meditating (and Using Mantras)
Have you ever meditated? It’s a fantastic tool to help you relax and reduce your stress levels. It helps to calm the mind and relax the body. However, it’s far more powerful than just helping to still your mind, especially when you choose to add mantras. A mantra is simply a word or phrase that is repeated while meditating that helps to aid with focus.
Mantras are often used to help people reach higher levels of spirituality. However, they can do much more than this. They can also be used to rewire thought patterns, increase self-confidence, and bring about changes in a person’s life. When they are used this way, it turns them into affirmations.
Japa is a form of meditation that utilizes specific mantras as a means to help calm the mind, and they can help with creativity. Let’s look at two of the mantras that are often used, and what they mean.
· Om – This is one of the most commonly heard mantras and one that you probably already know. This is sometimes called the hymn of the universe and the sound used to bring everything into existence. It could be a powerful mantra to use in your manifestation meditations.
· So’Hum – This mantra means “I am that”, and you could use it when you are trying to focus on what you want to become.
There are other mantras, and if you are interested in using them in your meditations, you can delve deeper into Japa meditation.
Of course, you also have the option of using affirmations in place of mantras if you prefer. When you are creating your affirmations, try to make them to the point and easy to do with meditative breathing exercises.
Chants or Incantations
Chants and incantations are similar to affirmations, but they tend to be shorter. Often, it’s just one word or a few words. The words that you say don’t necessarily have to mean anything in English or any other language if you don’t want them to. Instead, you assign the meaning and power to those incantations and chants.
You put your desires and goals into those words and phrases and then say them repeatedly. However, it’s not enough just to say the words you’ve made up. You have to believe them; you need to believe that those words where you’ve placed so much meaning will bring you what you want and need. They need to be repeated with conviction and emotion.
When you do this, you are speaking what you want into the universe. You are sending clear instructions to the universe and yourself. Putting so much of your energy from your mind and body into the incantations helps them to become magnetized, so to speak, helping to draw the things you want closer.
If you’re like a lot of people today, you don’t use positive self-talk. Instead, you are down on yourself a lot of the time. You are more negative toward yourself than you are others. You focus on the mistakes you’ve made, the things you’ve said wrong, and every little problem that comes your way. You blame yourself for everything.
What do you think happens when you do this? You start to believe in the negativity. You would feel not good about yourself or life. You have to get out of this mindset.
While you can do this in your mind rather than speaking positively about yourself aloud, it’s much harder. Negative thoughts tend to creep into your mind even when you try to push them away. A better option is to use positive self-talk by speaking aloud. It’s a lot harder to say negative things about yourself when you are saying them out loud.
Get into the practice of talking positively to yourself and about yourself at least once or twice a day. It could be in the morning, the evening, or whenever you need to hear it.
Speak Out Your Visualized Plans
Visualization, which is seeing the things that you want, is important. However, that’s only part of the equation. You should also speak out your visualized plans. You have goals and dreams, and ideas of how you can bring them into existence in addition to the work you are doing to speak the things you desire into existence.
You have solid plans that you know will help you with your goals when you follow them. For example, if you want to be a successful writer, you can’t simply “will” a book or story into existence. You have to put in the work and write it. However, the intentions you have when writing the book, the work you are doing to manifest success and completion of the novel, are just as important.
Talk about the plans you have for yourself out loud. Work through them, improve them, and pat yourself on the back when things are going well.
Avoid “Don’t”, “Not” and “No”
There are certain “bad words” that you don’t want to use if you hope to manifest the things of your dreams. The types of words that you need to avoid are the negative words, the words that will put you into the mindset of losing faith in yourself and your ability to obtain what you want.
These include negative words such as “No”, “Don’t”, “Not”, and “Can’t”. These words are your kryptonite. They will stop you in your tracks before you have a chance to succeed. Yet, they are some of the most common words we tell ourselves time after time.
Pay close attention to the words you use aloud and the words that creep into your mind. Make a conscious effort to remove them from the vocabulary you use when talking to yourself or about your manifestations.
Remember, the universe is not picky about what you say. When you put out those negative words, you will get negative responses in return.
Speak with Optimism
Once you have those negative words out of your vocabulary, it’s time to replace them. Instead of speaking negatively, speak with optimism. This goes for when you are talking to yourself and when you are talking with others. Be positive regarding yourself and the things you want, as well as the things that others are trying to achieve.
Try to frame your words in ways that encourage action and positivity. Focus on your strengths, and always be respectful of yourself and others when you are speaking.
Keep in mind that the world is filled with pessimists, and it’s not easy to be optimistic all of the time. You might find yourself slipping from time to time. Try to catch yourself and rethink what you are saying. When you are more optimistic with your words, you will feel more optimistic internally. You will be more likely to see the good things that are happening and the gains you are making.
Vocalize Your Dreams with Others
Quite a few people have trouble with this because it means that other people will know about their dreams and intentions. They worry that their friends, family, and other peers might laugh at them or bring negativity into their lives. While this might happen, you can’t let it get you down. If you are around people who are constantly negative, you need to rethink the people you are spending time with.
What you want to do is vocalize your dreams with other people. Listen to their dreams, as well, and stay positive for their sake, as well. When you talk about your dreams and what you want to do with your life, it makes it real not just to you and the universe, but to those around you.
When you talk with others, you get more people on your side. Having more people believe what you want it possible could even help to manifest things faster. Give it a shot.
Watch the Way You Say Things
This ties in closely with many of the other tips in the post, but they are important to reiterate because it is where so many people end up failing. Negative talk and negative thinking are far easier than positivity and optimism
Think of it like the light side and the dark side. The dark side, negativity, is easier. It seems to come naturally to most people. It’s raw, angry, and simple. Positivity is far more difficult, but ultimately, it is more powerful. You need to focus on the way you say things to yourself and about yourself. Here are some things you need to think about.
What Do You Say to Yourself About Yourself?
When you are having conversations with yourself, or even just thinking about yourself and what you have done, what’s it like? Are you constantly berating yourself for mistakes and missteps you’ve made? Do you feel worse about yourself than you did before? Do you feel like a failure?
This is going to harm your self-esteem, even though it’s you who is saying those negative things. You are going to believe them, and they will become part of who you are. You don’t want to see yourself that way. You deserve better, so treat yourself better.
What Do You Say to Yourself About Your Life?
Now, think about how you talk about your life. Are you always negative, telling yourself that you don’t have what you want or need? Are you frustrated that you don’t have the house or the car that you want? Are you blaming yourself for everything? Are you blaming outside forces?
If you aren’t being positive, that negativity that you feel right now will start to become permanent. You will never be happy with what you have in your life. Instead, you have to reframe the way you are looking at things. Even though you might not yet have the life you want, think about the things that you do have that are good. Focus on the positive and nurture those feelings.
What Do You Say to Others About Yourself?
This one is a bit tricky. When you talk with other people, it’s easy to be negative about yourself in the guise of humility. While being humble can be admirable, you also don’t want to sell yourself short. You are a great person, and you are doing amazing things. It’s okay to talk about yourself positively. It’s good when you do.
This doesn’t mean you have to brag. It just means that you need to paint yourself in a positive light when you are talking with others. You will feel better about yourself when you do. When you are negative, it becomes part of you and your outlook.
Once again, you have to remember that the universe is going to latch onto what you put out there and bring it all back to you. If you are putting out negativity, it shouldn’t be a surprise that you have more negativity coming into your life.
Avoid Brooding When You Fail
How do you deal with failure? If you are like a lot of people, you dwell on the failure, you make it a part of your experience and wallow in it for a lot longer than you should. When you fail at something, don’t look at it as a loss. Look at it as a learning opportunity, which is a good thing. You will have a better idea of what you may have done incorrectly, so you won’t make those mistakes again…but if you do, it’s still not the end of the world.
Get out of the habit of sulking when you fail at something. Turn the negative into a positive. You will feel better, and you will be able to get back on track sooner. Remember, everyone fails at some point. The way you deal with failure is what will separate you from everyone else.
You are likely familiar with the concept of prayer, even if you aren’t currently practicing any religion. It is essentially a means to communicate with a higher power. Depending on your outlook, this could be God with a capital G, the universe, or even one of the mythological gods. The important thing is that you believe there is something else out there, something greater, and that your words, your prayers, can reach them and be answered.
Prayers allow you to have conversations with the higher power or the universe. You can express your feelings and your desires. It’s not so much about getting all of the answers you need as it is about having a conversation. When you are talking with the universe, you are putting forth the energy of creation.
As you should know by this point, it’s okay if you talk to yourself. To be honest, it’s good for you, and that’s why you will want to continue having conversations with yourself about the things you want to manifest and everything you are doing to help bring them into existence.
You need to pay close attention to these conversations. What type of language are you using? Are you positive or are you negative? Are you saying negative things to yourself? Do you call yourself stupid, or lazy? Do you talk about how bad things are going and how bad your life is?
When you say these things, you are manifesting…but you are manifesting the wrong things. Your negativity is going to attract more negativity. If you talk about how terrible your life is, then your life will be terrible. You’ll feel terrible, and you won’t be able to see and experience all of the good things that are happening.
You wouldn’t talk with anyone else like this. You wouldn’t tell your loved ones they are stupid or failures. Why would you do this to yourself? It’s time that you turned those conversations around and focused on the positive. It will make a difference.
Along the same lines, pay attention to the way you talk about yourself when you are having conversations with other people. Don’t sell yourself short and don’t disparage yourself.
This is a simple activity, but it’s one that a lot of people tend to avoid for one reason or another. You will simply stand in front of a mirror and talk to your image. Admittedly, when you first start doing this, it’s going to feel a bit strange. However, the more you do it, the easier it will be. You will get used to it and the awkwardness will start to fade. Eventually, you will have a good time with it.
What do you say to the mirror? Often, it’s the things you want to hear and that you need to hear. You can use mirror work to help raise your self-esteem and confidence. Many times, people fail to manifest what they want because deep down they feel as if they do not deserve it, of that happiness is not meant for them. These are negative thoughts that can be difficult to break.
However, with mirror work, you can start to change the way you feel about yourself and what you deserve. You can build up the confidence you need, and you can convince yourself that you do deserve what you want.
Let the Universe Know Through Your Words
As we’ve said, you have to let the universe know what you want, and you have to put as much positivity and optimism into the universe as possible. The universe doesn’t know what to give you unless you tell it, though.
First, use the techniques that we’ve discussed here to voice what you need aloud and do it regularly. The more effort you are putting into manifesting what you want the easier it will become. Once you start to see results, you’ll understand just how powerful this can be.
Second, keep these positive intentions going throughout the day. Take some time throughout the day to do this type of manifestation work. In addition to literally speaking your words to the universe, you can also write them down in a journal. This is not an alternative to voicing your intentions, though. It’s something to do in addition. When you keep a journal and you use positive language, it helps to solidify your intentions deeper into your subconscious.
Your words have power, just like your actions do. When you put it all together, you can change the world around you and can manifest your dreams.
Pay Attention to What’s Happening and Embrace It
A lot of times, people who have trouble manifesting are so focused on the big goals that they don’t see the little changes that are happening around them. They don’t pay attention to those subtle changes and shifts in the universe that are starting to happen. When they don’t see immediate results, they get discouraged and they give up before they can manifest their dreams.
As you are using the techniques discussed above to help you manifest your own reality, pay attention to all of those things that are happening around you. Look for the changes and the synchronicities that let you know you are on the right track.
Spend time trying out all of the various techniques we’ve discussed and find the ones that make the most sense to you and that are working for you. Focus on those and put more effort into them. You will start to see bigger changes, and you will begin to manifest the things that you want in life. Keep speaking to the universe and keep working toward those goals. You can start to enjoy the life you were meant to live.
