Be On Vacation Every Day

VACATION MINDSET or
“What do I WANT to do today?”
Most of us spend most of our time doing things we don’t really care to do.
We spend most of our energy on stuff we really don’t think is important to us personally. We give so much of our time, energy and money now, thinking it will pay off later. By pay off we mean we will be able to spend our time, energy and money the way we actually want to spend it on our authentic joy later.
THE PAY OFF
Once in a while we get vacation time. For some it is a couple of weeks each year. For others it is never. What does vacation time mean to us? For starters it usually means we can get away. (Get away from what?) Is day to day life so miserable that we can’t wait to get away from it? What is so bad? Where we live? Who we see each day? Our work? Our routine?

I DON’T KNOW WHAT IT IS BUT I KNOW WHAT IT ISN’T!
Take a baby step and focus on today. When you start your day, or more precisely when you open your eyes, what thoughts do you have?
Most of us think of what we HAVE to do during the day. Of the many thoughts you have, which ones make you think, “Oh, yuck”?
What would you like to not have to do? Even better question, “Which would you like to not even think about?” It does not matter how big or all-encompassing the subject is. It does not matter if it is a tiny irritating item.
WHAT AGGRAVATES YOU THE MOST?
MAKE A LIST.
Start with the most aggravating, undesirable item on your list to do.
Continue your list until everything you would rather not do or think about is on it.
Maybe it’s going to work or calling someone you would rather not know, much less need to call.
Maybe it is a dentist appointment or or worse yet, needing one and not being able to afford it. Maybe it is chores or being glued to a computer on a nice day. Perhaps you will need to address finances or work on a life issue that seems to have no good solution.
Make your list starting with the least desirable first (no matter the scope or size of each). Often the simplest issue can cause the most aggravation , stress and worry.
When you plan a vacation, it feels like relief just thinking about getting away from ordinary life and many of those things you just listed. Vacations are so fun to plan because it gives you a better lifestyle to look forward to. Generally vacation planning is thinking of what you WANT instead of what you NEED or what you HAVE to do.
WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING TODAY IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY VACATION YOU WANTED?
Once you have listed what you don’t want today move on to the second list.
Making a list of negatives does not seem like a good manifesting strategy but …
When you know what you really don’t want anymore, it helps clarify what your authentic desires are today.
This time let’s list what you would do today if you were on vacation.
Just make it one day for starters.
Would you sleep in?
Where would you wake up?
Who would be there?
What fun would the day hold?
Would you be in the city or country?
What would you explore if anything?
Would you get some exercise? How?
What would meals be?
Music or entertainment or hanging in a hammock at day’s end?
NOW TO CREATE A LIFE WITHOUT THE ITEMS YOU LISTED THAT WERE NEGATIVE. (LEARNING TO MANIFEST WILL BE TOP PRIORITY.)
You can make a third list called your list of intentions and list what you want instead of the negative items.
For instance: if you don’t like your work you will need work that you love or just passive income.
If you don’t like dealing with finances, you will need to have your finances in order by having a profitable business or being debt-free or simplifying and living beneath your means. In any case you will have a third list of intentions.
ONCE YOU HAVE A LIFESTYLE AND A LIST OF INTENTIONS YOU WANT TO MANIFEST YOU ARE ON YOUR WAY!
